Summary

The Junior Toxicologist is responsible for the drafting, organization, copy editing, and delivery of scientific and regulatory portfolios on nutraceutical ingredients involving a number of areas, including safety, quality, and assessments of scientific/research gaps. The ideal candidate will be a driven individual with a passion for science and nutraceuticals.

Job Duties

  • Author safety reports and narratives on nutraceutical ingredients and products for regulatory submissions in accordance with established templates and predetermined timelines
  • Review and interpret pre-clinical toxicology reports and human clinical trial reports
  • Conduct scientific literature reviews
  • Understand scientific conclusions from peer-reviewed and open-source literature
  • Facilitate robust communication with other internal teams
  • Abide by all policies and procedures within the company
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

  • M.Sc or PhD. in toxicology/pharmacology or closely related field with toxicology experience
  • Experience in regulatory affairs or nutrition/natural health product industry is a strong asset
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • Ability to drive process, manage multiple projects and take ownership for project execution
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Accountable and accurate, with a keen eye for detail
  • Copy editing and wordsmithing skillset for scientific and regulatory work products
  • Adept in multi-tasking and adapting to change
