Isabelle Plante

Isabelle Plante is a professor at INRS, director and co-founder of ICEDA.

She has been interested in the links between environmental pollutants and cancer for over 20 years. Over the years, her studies have been funded by numerous organizations, including the FRQS, the NSERC, the Cancer Research Society and the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.

She recently received the V.E. Henderson of the Society of Toxicology of Canada for his contributions to the field of toxicology in Canada.

His team is trying to determine whether exposure to certain endocrine disruptors can interfere with the normal development of the mammary glands and thus increase the risk of breast cancer.
